What would it be?

I would get a penguin.

Do I have to choose between only the currently existing creatures? If so, an orca! Killer whales are boss.

If I can delve into the realm of the mythological, however, I must choose a freakin' dragon.

Also, my two choices are presuming that the creatures are tame toward me and mind me... I would hate to die an instant after getting one of them as a pet.
