That stuff where you can run up walls. And kill people with q-tips. I don't know what the style is called though.xboxplayer1990
Q-Tip Ninjitsu?
[QUOTE="eloyc"]I don't like Muay Thai, I find it quite uggly :P
I like WuShu styles, more the Northern than the Southern ones.
Mr_Wes32
what i like about muay thai is that it's extremely brutal
That's what I don't like, and I'm not confusing brutality with martial effectiveness. Muay Thai isn't something more than furious kicking. WuShu styles with martial applications are effective but not as repetitive and limited as Muay Thai, and they are visually more attractive and varied.
and mix that with wushu then you're not to be messed with.Mr_Wes32
True, WuShu covers Muay Thai limitations. :P

Some time ago I used to practice Northern Wushu styles and Tai Chi forms at home.
I've also done a lot of research about the issue. I like to learn new things. :)
i know some Ty Chi but will luv to mix it with the African-Brazilian martial art Capoeira. i think it was genious the way slaves made this art up by disguising it as dancing. itz very athletic and fun to practice. it will look neat performing this on an unsuspecting purse snatcher. =) shyskillz
capoeira is pretty fun to watch. but from what i've seen when put up against another styles it seems ineffective. sorta like drunken boxing unless you truely know what you're doing i don't see it actually winning against say a muay thai fighter

In fact, Capoeira is more a visual physical discipline than a true martial art.

Mr_Wes32
Nothern styles use more the legs, while Southern styles use more .... the arms. Shaolin Kung Fu is considered a Northern Style, sometimes even Northern Styles are considered to be descendants of Shaolin Style.
Chang Chuan is the main Northern style:

winning and losing depends solely on the individual fighter. i like it because the moves are unpredictable and blows can come from anywhere. now imagine that combine with ty-chi.... some awesome ass kicking to watch...yes indeed. lol
