I fail to see what's so attractive about Japan, but I guess I'm just not able to relate to that too well, whatever. I guess I'd like to live in Paris or Maine. But I'm thinking of the summer in both cases.

I love Florida, but if I had the choice between any place in the world, it would probably be

1. England

2. Australia

3. Ireland

4. Japan.

A few places...The UK is nice, but I'd want to live in New Zealand, the place is beautiful. I'd also consider moving to Japan...

  • peaceful countryside
  • generally very polite people
  • low crime rates
  • exquisite food (sushi)
  • superb healthcare
  • technologically advanced
  • the land of (cheaper) videogames
  • beautiful language

What's not to like about Japan?

Fixation on work and emphasis decidedly away from enjoyment, sexual perversion (apparently the Japanese have the worst sex lives of all countries as well), tremendous ethnocentrism, and no weekends. Though I could be wrong on any of those.

True, I suppose there must be a social cost in getting to such an revered level in the world.

Central America all has effing excellent coke. I remember that far more than Mayan ruins (seriously). I guess it's because they use real sugar in their stuff. There's not as much corn and more sugar cane. It's geography I guess.

I know what the word means, and I am frustrated by how condescending you are being by offering me the definition of it. I do not respect Japan and you are not in some new level of the world by moving to Japan, so I do not know what you mean by your post. Thus I asked for further explanation.

That is why I followed on with "Or is that opinion?" (which it so obviously is). No need to get so offended, I merely thought that I was at fault in my word choice and needed some correction.

It depends on what price the store sells it for... The Cola where I buy it costs $1.09 per glass bottle.

The countryside (you know, fresh air, trees, greenery?) is beautiful, but that's entirely opinionative. You're only thinking of the overcrowded cities which are that way because most of Japan is too mountainous to build on. In which case, I would agree with you, cities aren't beautiful things.

what I'm saying is for that little bit of mountains on that little island, you can get X10 in the rocky mountains in southern british columbia for half the price, and you can visit vancouver too which is the biggest japanese city in north america, aaanyways japan would be nice to see but with a high cost of living and crowded areas it would get hard to live in for a long time, just saying.

I lived right outside of Lisbon.  But the Azores and Madeira Islands are awesome as well!
