If you could only keep one of your tech devices which would you choose?

So here's the scenario, if all of your computer devices Laptop, phone, tablet, desktop, printer, etc were taken from you except for one, which would you choose to keep. And for the record you won't have a workaround so if you keep your tablet you won't be left with a bluetooth keyboard so it doubles as a laptop. You will be allowed to keep your data however, so any contacts/pictures/music/movies/etc will be transfered to the device you've chosen to keep.

For me it's real tug of war between my phone and my laptop. I think ultimately I would have to go with my laptop. It would be really annoying not to have the ability to call people at any given moment, but I could surely find an application that would allow me to make calls from my laptop over wifi as well as text. Also I just have too much work to do to attempt to make things work on my phone. I simply need a keyboard.

PC.... It can do all of that stuff anyway.

I'd be so happy to ditch my phone.

The whole point of the scenario is that you will only have the one item to work with from now on.

My gaming PC, of course. It's the center of my digital world. It does almost everything work-related. I even watch my DirecTV LiveTV on it in addition to Netflix.

I have a laptop as backup. But, I can only choose one. If I have my choice, it'd be the PC and laptop.

tbh it would be a real blessing to lose my desktop, I'd be 300% more productive. I'd essentially be left with just my phone, which is the only thing I feel I really need.

I'm guessing you play a lot of games and don't do a lot of work on it?

My gaming laptop. Sure, using skype or whatever for voice chat sucks, but not as much as being limited to only games that run on a cell phone lol.

@Sam3231: LOL. Reminds me of my mom every time she tries to lose weight.

Her latest one, was to start keeping a journal of everything she eats.

After 2 weeks I said, so what did you do with that info? She just gives me a blank look. I guess she thought writing it down was all she needed to do?

Then dad got the bright idea to post the list at the top of the stairs, so she'd have to walk up them to write stuff down.

Yeah that lasted like one day.

@appariti0n: My dad has one or something similar. I find it to be kind of a strange trend. I'm also not sure why some people feel the need to advertise how many steps they've taken in a day but to each his own.

Even though I just got my iPhone 8 Plus today, and loving it, I'd say farewell. Take everything except my desktop.

It would probably be my phone. I don't really use my laptop much except for browsing the net.

It's a love only a NAS owner can understand. :-P

It's a tough decision between my phone and my computer. My computer can perform 32 billion calculations per second.

But my phone fits in my pocket and says something back when I say "hey..."

decisions decisions

I haven't had a personal PC/desktop in a decade now, so that is irrelevant. I also don't have a personal phone, neither mobile nor home phone, so I don't care about that either. By default that leaves the personal tablet, which is what I am using now.

I have work versions of all the above, but I never use them for anything except work.

In a perfect world I'd ditch my phone and keep my laptop. But for whatever dumb reason we've crafted a society where it's difficult to live without a phone.
