i don't drink either. i have had a few shots of vodka for new year's or whatever, but never enough to get drunk. i don't see the point in losing that much control of your body that way.

I feel depressed when I'm drunk by myself. Kinda how I feel paranoid if I'm high by myself (but that only fades in and out, the depression of drunkenness by myself just lingers).

Sadly, I am an alcoholic. For the most part my drinking is under control but that doesn't change the fact that I will drink to excess if I give myself even the slightest edge.
For example, I'm drunk right now because I don't have to work or go to school tomorrow. Needless to say I have a long way to go.

Alcohol works for you. I, on the other hand, prefer to play video games or have a good laugh with a funny movie/tv show. Everyone has their preferences. I don't mind alcohol itself, just the young people who try to act "mature" by drinking before they're "allowed to."

Alcohol increases your chances of getting laid...
So does good hygiene and an interesting personality. You'd probably enjoy the experience more if you're sober. Mostly due to the fact that you'd be more aware of what the person you're with actually looks like.

Err, I didn't mean for that to come out in any positive way what-so-ever. My alcoholism is terribly distressing and has the potential to ruin my life or kill me in the short or long run.
