if you found a wallet

would to take the cash? i was reading the mmochampion forums and i was sad from all the people who said they would take the cash. one person said they would return it but demand a 25% fee of the cash inside LOL

i would deffninatly give it back without taking anything

If it didn't have any identification in it, I would take both the money and the wallet if it looked nice.

If it did have identification, then I would just turn it into the police.

Never. Well i would do my best to find that owner, then if not, take what i need and give the rest to charity.

I'm kind of appalled at you guys, but I guess it is human nature.

Personally, I need money bad, but that doesn't give me the right to take money that isn't mine. So I wouldn't take a single dollar and I'd make sure the owner got it back, because I know I'd like the same thing done if I lost mine, and the money won't beat the good feeling I'd get.

I don't need the money, but I would still take the cash. Finders keepers, losers weepers.

if it had no information in it then its ok to take the money because you could never find them. thats just like finding a 20$ on a ground you would take it.. but a wallet with information is different :)

that depends if I open the wallet and find that it's a hottie I would definitely try to return it. Might get something more interesting than a couple of bucks :P. but if they ugly i'm just keep the bills.

I'd return it with all the money. As tempting as it would be to take a little "reward money" I'd be too afraid of the owner trying to take some kind of legal action.

I lost my wallet back in college and someone was nice enough to return it to campus security with everything intact. So yes I would do my best to return it with everything in it

I figure they can pay for the gas that it takes for me to give it back to them.

Return it if possible if not keep a hold of the wallet until it's reported lost.

If I found the money on the ground I would take it like a boss (because no one owns it), but when it's inside someone's wallet it's like taking directly from that person. Gotta at least try and contact them, if it's not possible then I don't know.

Edit: Actually, the other day I found a phone on the train but decided to just leave it.

I don't know exactly what I would do. Guest I have to wait til I am in this situation.

Nah, when it's a wallet I'll just turn it into the closest business, or the most likely place they went to. Straight money on the ground though, that's a different story...depending on the amount.

I would return the wallet.

If there's like 15 bucks in there. Here's your wallet whatever.

If there's like $230 in there then i'll take like 60 bucks.
