If you suddenly became very wealthy..

How would your lifestyle and/or life plans change?

For example, if you're in school would you quit since you won't be needing a job? If you have career would you quit since you don't need the income? Maybe complete some otherwise ridiculous life goals? Laze around all day in your pile of wealth?

Me,If money was not a problemI think I would just stay in school for a good long while more, just doing studies and getting as many degrees as I am capable of. Other than that I would spend free time travelling and then have a side project of my own little farm, just to keep myself busy and feel like I'm participating in society. Plus I'd try to write a book with my free time at some point.

I'd buy the stuff alot of you already have. Such as a TV thats not 30 years old.

Maaaannn I'd fly out everyone who wanted to come from OT for the biggest party in south carolina since the bluegrass festival.

I'd buy a nice place in Colorado, get the truck I want. Other than that I'd live a quiet life and not work.

I would probably invest in music and maybe even make my own record company that only accept TALENTED people but I might invest in something different though.

I'd buy Gamespot, fire everybody, and hire old people in their 70s who don't even know how to turn on a PS3 to do the reviews.-Fromage-

I would definitely stay in school. First I would give some money to be used for dorm renovations, and trick out my room. And then for my junior and senior year I would get a place and let my friends live for no rent. After that I would establish a research center or even start up a biotech company.

I'd probably spend a lot of money on CD's, games, high-end earphones, a car, a new PC, and some other stuff. But other than that not much would change, I would still go to music school and get my composing degree, and I would probably just pay for a master's degree abroad rather than having to work my best to get a scholarship.

I would move to a different country, or maybe just somewhere else inside the US. Id also pay off both of my parent's houses.

I certainly wouldnt work, and neither would anybody in my family, if they didnt want to. Screw college, too.

Then, I would probably put the majority of the wealth into savings, and live off of the interest.

Quit college. Buy a house. Make the house awesome. Live in said house. Start a business and make more moneys. Profit!

Assuming "very wealthy" means "as much money as I would need," then I would purchase a house for my girlfriend and me to live in and go from there. If she wanted to continue college, I'd pay for it. I know I'd continue with college, so I'd be paying for that too.

I'd focus more attention on my own musical interests and be much pickier about who I accept as students, offering them lessons for free but not teaching nearly as much as I do currently. I wouldn't want to laze around doing nothing, That would get boring in a hurry. But a life spent on music is not a wasted life.

As for the cash, invest it, live off the dividends and send surplus dividend money to worthy causes. I'm very good with money as it is, so I'd have no trouble keeping my finances in order.

If money was not an issue I'd continue to take classes until I ran out of thigns I wanted to study, but I might not do it full-time, there are a lot of other things I'd like to do if I were wealthy. I'd definitely travel, buy myself a nice house, start a few PAC's, start a charity if it's that much money, donate to one if it's not. I have an idea for a social experiment involving creating a planned community I'd like to try, and I don't really see myself ever doing nothing. I might like having a job as a college professor or better yet one of those fellows who's basically paid to do his thing and give prestige to the college. If my wealth was substantial enough I also wouldn't mind trying my hand at some business ventures, media comes directly to mind.

well, for starters I would go to beer school. Its pretty much the next stepping stone in my career.

After thatI would either jump on board at my current job and invest in a new production site and expand operations; our current facility is absolute crap, tbh, and is not suited to making beer. I'd also hire some marketing folks, or at least get the current guy to work full-time.

After that I would likely open up my own brewpub, with a nice resturaunt that serves affordable food and a huge beer selection.

As for my personal life, no, it would not change much. I would still live in an apartment, rent, and do all the things I do. Tbh I would problably hire a personal trainer and go see a shrink/life coach (do those work lol?)so I can lose weight and mentally prepare myself. Thats about the only luxury I'd have

I have zero delusions about mansions, sports cars (I would build a rockcrawler, though), and all that crap. Even if I got 1 million dollars a year, I'd still live like a guy that made 60 grand.

I would pay off my debts, buy a decent home and a new vehicle, and a few other miscellaneous things that I'm currently not fortunate to have that I would like to have in my possession. I'd continue to go to school and get a degree, find a job and work so I wouldn't feel as if I was wasting my life away. Other than that I'd invest the money and attempt to live a comfortable life. I wouldn't mind traveling and seeing the world in my spare time.

That is what I would probably do, as well.

Get myself a new laptop (one that hopefully won't crap out on me before a year), get a PS3 and bigger TV for the dorm, some awesome clothes, get better food everyday. 8)

I'd still go to study a profession. If not for the wealth and monay, I'll do it for the sake of not sitting around like some bum and for the sake of practicing my braincells.

I'd buy me a nice house that can populate me and my family with dignity, buy all the commodities I need (and that's really not much) and put the rest in the bank living on work income and interest from the bank. My children won't be spoiled - they'll learn the concept of working for money and earning your wealth.

Finally, most importantly - I'd start a band. That's a dream.

I' keep my 28-hour a week part-time job because it's a great place to work (I've made friends with so many people there). I'd continue to go to university but I'd do t part-time to be able to relax more. I'd also buy houses and rent them out, plus get my own house and live in there.
