If you were free falling from 10,000 feet in the air...

What would you do? I would call my parents if I had my cell on me (hopefully I have coverage whereever I'm free falling) I will tell them bye and stuff and tell them I'm going to heaven a little bit early but I'll see them there one day.

I can't imagine what would be going through someone's mind while going through that. How would the pain feel? Would you die within one second or would your death be slow and painful?

Well, it would seem to me it would happen like this:

I would be just about to hit the ground when I see the odd site of a person doing a strange dance almost ritual like, while balancing some birds on their hed. Now, this may not be the exact site I see, hopefully something much stranger. Then, I will be so distracted by this that I will instantly forget to hit the ground and completely miss it. I will be flying through the air, with gravity having no effect on me.

Unfortunately mythbusters proved you can't communicate by voice while skydiving. Save those cell phone minutes.duxup

For those saying go for a lake. Assuming you don't hit the bottom, unless you do a perfect olympic dive, the momentum from falling is going to keep you moving down and probably break your back DivergeUnify

We'll first I would hope that i would be wearing a white robe and my shadow castes that of a hawk. and that there would also be one flying by otherwise this would just never work.

I would proceed to scout around and find whatever haystacks are around, in piles or wooden barrels, either will work. I would then spread my arms and flip over to my back, landing in the haystack, and upon hearing the bleeps fade away and the guards running by, lastly, I would jump out and assassinate my target. Why would i do that you ask? well i must have something big planned if i am free falling from so hi.

At 10,000 feet you would definately die instantly on impact. Having no pain. No matter what side of your body you landed on your spine would be demolished and your ribs would shrapnel into all your major organs.vendettared468

Actually, not necessarily. You're not gonna fall faster than terminal velocity, which can actually be slowed depending on how you're falling/what you're wwearing, etc. Terminal velocity is normally about 120 mph, I believe. In any case, while falling you can definitely slow this speed down by creating drag, and people actually HAVE hit the ground at comparable speeds without dying instantly. Depending on how you fall and where/how you land, it is definitely possible to die slowly and painfully rather than dying instantly.
