When my parents divorced they did split custody. During the week I stayed with mom because it was right across the street from school. During the weekends I was with Pops.
Probably whoever my sisters went with. If that were to happen, my older sister would most likely get her own place, and I'm sure I could stay with her for a while to avoid going through that.
I'd let them decide. But presuming they'd hate each other, I don't know. Maybe live with my brother? He's old enough to live on his own. I'd have to get a job though. :P
They did...I chose my mom b/c it was the best situation for me...had nothing to do with the actual parent -stayed there till I hit 18...then I hit the bricks
I don't live with my parents anymore but I don't know who I would choose if I had to decide. I'd be more more worried how my mom would come out of the situation as dad has always been the money maker and I think that my mom would have to get used to a different lifestyle which I wouldn't wish her at all.
I'm in college now and don't live at home, but I would stay at my mom's during the week because my dad works a lot and mom is always home by 5, and I would crash at my dad's on the weekend because I like to hang out with him more than my mom.
My parents split up when I was 2 years old or so. Luckily it didn't have as big of a psychological impact as it does on some people since I didn't even remember having my father around very much. I used to go over and spend every other weekend at my dad's house and I kinda hated it. So i've lived with my mom for my entire life.
I was scare of my dad as a child, so it was obvious that i would want to live with my mother. When they actually did split up (well more like she kicked him out), i wasn't given a choice in the matter, but seeing as my dad was unemployed at the time it really didnt matter.
