Just making a point, you never know EXACTLY how the income is affected by a big factor like illegal immigrants. The extra workers might even help some small companies grow much bigger than they would otherwise.

So Illegal Aliens working cheap in the US is costing the US economy. They provide a service at a low rate, which many other Americans would not do at those prices. You should be thanking them that at least they are keeping the US wage competitive on the international scene.

And the War on Terror is bankrupting you. The War in Iraq has cost the US economy well over a trillion dollars with projected costs now topping the 3 trillion mark. Large sums of this amount also leave the US economy, which has a detrimental effec, unlike Illegal Aliens who use the money they receive to buy good and services within the US, so at least the vast majority stays within the US economy.

You see my link also points to some hard figures and facts rather than CNN transcript anecdotal evidence spoken by some random person. Oh noes the propaganda. :cry:

You wanna "fix" the immigration problems? Invest in businesses who are forming NEW corporations outside the US forming new markets that bring opportunities to poor countries so the country itself improves. This does not mean ppl who are taking away jobs from US citizens.

ps: I want lower minimun wages in the US, they are increasing even more (in my state)

He does work for a sum of money, a lot of which will be spent in the US on food, shelter, clothes etc, basic amenities to which it gets added into the US economy. It's ludicrous to think 100% of that money leaves the US. The vast majority of western nations rely on imported labour to meet their annual growth and fuel the economy.

there are immigrants from all around the world, Some of them like the Asian's and West Indian's flood the US too but they also manage to open and help run businesses with legal citizens from their home countries. Mexicans are probably the only ones that i see stay illegal and don't seem to care who knows. I don't believe I should pay for services if they don't... It just isn't fair. The only way i can see them helping the economy is by offering cheap labor. You know how many construction companies uses this cheap labor. Mexicans have build many buildings in NY alone. I wouldn't be surprised if they get contract work cleaning and fixing government owned buildings too, because most of the ones I see cleaning the offices where i work can't even speak English. It's not the immigrants you want to direct your anger at but the ones who still practice this form of slavery and greed.

I don't mind them working and wanting a decent living but at the cost of mines..... is where i draw the line.

For all I know, illegal immigration in the US may actually cause a few legitimate problems, but isolating these from the main "issue " of Neocons not wanting to breathe the same air as foreign brown-skinned people requires the precision of a laser surgeon.

The fact that the TC and whoever sent him that email don't seem to care in the slightest about the devastating fiscal impact of the Iraq War and "War" on Terror pretty much negates any pretentions of economic concern. Well acutally if they come in illegally and try to live an honest life and want to become a U.S. Citezin then its all alright. It's only when they come and just make it worse than the americans have made it. Also remember america was pretty much founded on immigration. Also, some people do not want to become a citezin because it may mess with there homeland, such as if a jamaican becomes a U.S. citezin they can only stay in jamaica a full year until they have to leave and then come back.

Oh also I did a report on space exploration and I had to find the cost of building things in america it said that a one b2 bomber cost them a hell of alot more money than nasa's budget which was $16 billion dollers. Also 1.5 trillion was used to fund other programs as well. While Homland Security was 625 billion. Sorry I cant bring up sources as its a pain to go through my paper to find the links.

I agree with this. it's our military spending that is bankrupting our coutry. the US spends almost as much as the rest of the world combined on military. how insane does that sound?

but lets not forget that it's really Health Care and SS that will kill us if we don't make major reforms before all the Baby boomers retire. we spend MUCH more than any other nation on health care but don't have as good stats in any major health catagories (life expectancy, infant mortality, etc) compared to other modern nations.

correct. i'm sure that the US loses MUCH more money on foreign goods (like most electronics and clothes these days) than it does from ppl sending whats left of their minimum wage after food and shelter back to Mexico.

Umm is there a difference betwen bacteria and penicillin, honestly I know nothing of medicine/drugs because I don't take them. Well I'm not really arguing against illegals I'm more on the fence on that subject. I'm just arguing that they spend alot of money on things used to kill people.

Besides I used to work with an illegal and she was even better than me at work and they took advantage of her by giving her crap pay. I wanted to fight for her but unfortunently there was nothing I could do. Then we all found out she was possibly being deported and everyone at my job was P.O'd because she was a really nice person with a couple of kids who they would be taking her away from. Not to mention they also deported my brother for something he did along time ago and he has been living a life which is that of a model citezin with two daughters and a wife and they f'ing deported him.
