Two Seattle men say they spent more than two hours in a detention center at the Canadian border after U.S. border agents discovered illegal chocolate eggs in their car.

They bought Kinder Eggs - chocolate eggs with a toy inside.

The eggs are illegal in the United States because young children could choke on the small plastic toys. Importing them can lead to a potentially hefty fine.

The men were released with a warning after two hours.

Thoughts? First time I've ever heard of something from Canada being illegal.

This isn't a surprise but what I'm still surprised at is how my mom managed to bring them across the border. Mind you, she didn't go to Canada but rather flew from Europe and this was pretty recent.
