I'm getting the iPhone, but..

People say it's junk, and it's crappy. My mom is paying 200 and my dad is paying 200.

I might not get texting on it.

I'm really excited, but what if it's not all that I thought it up to be? What do you think about the iPhone?

Well, you're asking, so I'm going to be honest:

I think it's nice, but severely overrated. I think the whole idea of a touch screen is kind of stupid to begin with; why would I want smudge prints all over the viewing area? As a music player, it's storage capacity is terrible in comparison to even iPods from over two years ago, but it might be more than enough for some people. As a phone, I have heard varying opinions on its signal and clarity. About the only thing I find particularly nice about it compared to other high-end phones, really, is that it has a large screen, but then I see that as a potential liability.
