As the title says, my parents are having a garage sale and I have items for sale ranging from ps1 games to computers+ desks. I am not so good with pricing because I tend to put a price too high for certain items ex games and computers. What do you think of the best prices for these following items.

1. Gameboy color + 5 games

2. Japanese launch 60GB PS3:Still has everything it came with even the white plastic wrapper. I would keep it if it wasn't for the different controller button mapping. ( X and O functions switched yet in same spot) I'm thinking asking price first is $225 then lowest I guess $150. I never soldanything on Ebay or Craigslist. If it doesn't get sold ( which have feeling it won't) then I will use those sites but it would be hard I think to sell Japanese version in America for the right price.

3.PS1, PS2, and PC games

4. Printers: Dell all in one printer A920, Epson Stylus C60, and HP 2200C scanner ( Items includes manual and software disks)

5. 2 CRT moitors and 2 office chairs plus desk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I guess for some items, I see what the prices online are and then match it if reasonable or make it lower.

If you're really hoping for a good selling price, don't do a garage sale. Garage sales are for giving away the junk you don't want. For anything you believe is worth $150 minimum, don't expect to sell it for more than $50 at a garage sale.

1. 10 bucks max. It's a garage sale, not an antique/collectable/old stuff that's worth money to somebody sale. take it to a game store or a collectibles store.

2. Nobody is going to bring $150 bucks to your garage sale. People bring quarters to garage sales. Stuff is supposed to be cheap. Put an ad on craigslist or ebay right away or again, take it to a games store. If you have crap like that out, people WILL steal it.

3. Maybe 2 bucks each. Maybe.

4. Five bucks max. Printers are cheap as hell, both in price and the way they're built. You might get lucky and find somebody who wants them for parts, but otherwise they're almost utterly worthless if they're not brand new in the box.

5. CRT= fat monitor? Nothing, unless it's for parts. Put it in a free box. 10 bucks max for the chairs if they're really nice, and the desk really depends what it's like, but I wouldn't hope for over 20 for a basic, very nice desk, or 30 for one of those "why the hell did you pay that much for a desk" executive desks, providing they're in VERY good condition, any scratches, paint peeling, dings or stickers, forget it, you could maybe ask 10 then.

As somebody who has been doing yardsales and going to them since I was a kid, I can tell you that if you think you're getting much for that you're sadly mistaken. Garage sales are all about the cheap, retail value/what you paid for it is worthless. You're dealing with deal hunters, and they won't be paying a hundred bucks for anything, I can assure you that. My mom bought 4 lululemon (very expensive yoga-wear) pieces of clothing for $8 total at one, and that was a lot to drop on clothes at a yard sale. They were brand new, barely worn, and would have cost her $300 retail.

You're not going to get much for any of that, your best bet is to go to ebay, craigslist, kijiji etc. and sell it that way, for the things that have any value.

I recently sold a Gameboy color at a garage sale for 20 bucks, and 3 dollars for every game. They went QUICK.

Don't bother trying to resell any PC games you've played online or registered. They're worthless.

How rare is the PS3? The rare'er it is, the higher the price.
