it really sucks. i want to get to know her better but last time i talked to her, she talked in a really soft voice so i couldnt here what she was saying, and that kinda dampened my spirits. i guess she just shy...any advice?
Next time she's speaking to you make a dramatic hand gesture by cupping your hand and putting it behind your ear while yelling at the top of your lungs, "WHAT???!!! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!!!!"

The more time you spend with her, the more time she will be accustom to be around you. I usually talk soft around people I don't know, but if I know them for awhile, I'm so comfortable around them that I just scream if I really wanted to. Just keep talking to her, and ask her to repeat things if you can't hear her.
just say 'lol wut' in a really soft voice, she'll ask 'what?' you'll say 'what?' and she pours hot squash all over herself and we all have a good laugh!
