I'm I in a relationship? (Girl help thread)

So I went to the mall the other day with this girl who I have been friends with since February. When I drove her home I gave her flowers that I was hiding in the trunk, then I kissed her (It was a crappy dry kiss on the check, kinda like the ones you give to your aunt.) We then hugged, and she proceeded to go in her apartment. As she closed the door she waved me good bye with a smile on.

But see the problem is that I'm ugly, and she is HAWT. So how can this be? I was expecting to be turned down when I showed her the flowers, and then I was going to give her a speech that I memorized to go along with the rejection so she would change her mind. Could of my kiss been so bad that she didn't even realized that I even kissed her? I am so confused right now!!! >.

Or did you just give a dry kiss on the cheek and assume that since she didn't do anything about it you guys are together???

no you're not in a relationship, you should hang out with her more, keep doing what you're doing, don't say anything about relationship yet. next time you ask her to hang out, if she says yes the first time you ask, that's good. when you're with her, try to hold her hand, if she doesn't pull away then that's good. kiss her goodbye again if it goes well. keep this s*** up for awhile longer, and after some time if it keeps going good, ask her if it's okay to call her your girlfriend.

The older you get, the less it matters to women what you look like, even if they could get better. The more mature women get, the more they want something they can hold on to: Engineer > Pretty boy working at wendy's.

this always really is the most confusing part in a relationship for me too. going from hanging out to hanging out a lot, even up to point where you seem to be doing a lot of bf-gf stuff together, always just happens, but actually going to being bf and gf requires a little extra something that i haven't figured out yet but seem to accidentally occasionally do..

they way you describe it you are definitely not there yet so just keep doing what you are doing, taking it a little further every time and when you feel comfortable enough, be clear about your feelings and that you would like her to be your gf, is what i would do. and don't think you're ugly, thinking that you're ugly makes you act like you're ugly and that makes you unattractive. girls like to see confidence and besides if she didn't see something in you she wouldn't be hanging out with you.

See how happy you are to think a girl that is better than you likes you? Thats the percieved notion, that you dont deserve her... and you love it. But when you are with someone and you think you can do better... thats when the bitter departure happens.

You need to make her think shes lucky to be with you.... then she will be as happy as you are when you show her minor attention. This is all basic human behavior.

Nobody quits a job they think they are lucky to have, they quit jobs they think are beneath them. Right now you are that crappy job, shes sticking with until a better job comes along.

^This. TC, you can't make yourself too comfortable in that situation. Flowers are nice and everything, but she's gonna look at that and think you're easy to get because you're so nice. I gave flowers to a girl once because she had surgery, I was the only guy she knew that did something like that for her... Couple days later, she hooks up with some random douchebag and breaks up with him like a month later. My point is, you can all the nice things in the world for some girl, but 9 times out of 10 they will not respect you for it.

You gotta chill out a bit with being nice to her, don't be a total ***, just show her some mild respect. You're already on friendship status with her, so thats against you as well. Show mutual respect towards her as a person and don't cling on her. Her views might change and when that does, ask her to hang out again and see how it goes from there.

I doubt you are in a relationship I have a female friend who I hang out with alot. I visit her apartment, go grocery shopping wtih her, eat lunch, dinner, and there where a few instances where she would cancel dates with others guys to go eat with me. So I am pretty sure you are not in a relationship. However, that doesn't mean you don't have a chance with her.

No where close to a relationship. She may just see you as a friend and didn't want to say anything about the flowers, but a kiss on the cheek is absolutely nothing. Really try to kiss her and see what happens, if she turns so you get her cheek not interested if not, she is a bit interested. However, even if she kisses you, you are not in a relationship! Unless you have the actual talk about being together you are just friends that may hookup from time to time. Also judging from that picture you are more than fine. Seriously the best advice I ever got was from my best friend'os mom my freshmen year in Highschool. "When in doubt, just kiss the girl". Seriously that advice has gotten me laid more times than I'd like to admit.

The worst thing you can do is keep buying her gifts, paying for lunches, etc. People have a bad habit of taking advantage of guys that'll let them. So don't let teh girl do that to you. If you want to date her don't settle for anything less. If you end up in the friend zone you'll never get out.
