Not at all. . . It's just your personal taste in humor. Don't let what others tell you is funny or not funny influence or discourage you. Don't worry about what others say. The purpose of humor really is just to make yourself laugh more than others. If you can not take things too seriously including yourself and laugh at your own jokes or whatever and not worry about getting any particular response, you're more likely to actually get a response than if you actually try. Who cares what any other jokers say and who really cares what they find funny. It really doesn't matter.

And to add. I thought it was amusing. I've seen Full Metal Jacket and I love the way the drill sergeants attitude is and it makes me chuckle.
