@papermario:

If you knew anything about Trump's history, you would change that statement.

Trump gets this press as being "brutually honest". He lies as much as the next politician. He just also has no problem making inflammatory statements.

He may be honest about how he feels about things, but he lies far more than the average politician. It's well documented.

You are a racist and a mysoginist and a islamaphobe and xenophobe and a homophobe and a globophobe...

Only joking...

I am not really a fan of Trump, but a win for Trump is a win for free speech. Free speech, in my opinion, is the most important thing in the world.

I think everyone's reactions have been hilarious. I got such a smile on my face when Trump won and seeing the look on so many people's faces that honestly thought Hillary was going to win....it was like tasting the tears of God. Reality check..it's a bitch but I'm loving up every whiney discussion and sore loser news topic of it.

I'm not mad in the least, quite the opposite. Having Trump as president is LOADS better than having the scumbag ISIS supporter Clinton as president. We've already walked back from DEFCON 3 to DEFCON 5 so we're certainly not in a worse position than we were previously.

Too many people, on this website even, joined a cult...the cult of Clinton.

It's pretty hard to get mad. I feel like we've dawned into a new age of comedy.

Also, undeniably, Trump was the underdog and he completely slayed the competition using minimal resources. In terms of playing the game, Trump might be the best player who's played. He even did it with the entirety of the mainstream media up against him and with constant smear campaigns (leaving half of the uneducated public who think he's racist, sexist, etc.). It's purely amazing and it's a shame few can see it. As the above poster said, it's a great reality check. You can see plain as day the people who care about this country VS the people who just watch too much John Oliver.

No they accepted she wasn't perfect....but per Politifacts she was not lying during the election run much at all. Trump mostly hit pants on fire.

I think he only wants to stop the biased left liars like CNN (Clinton News Network). Whether it's personal or not I don't know, but I wouldn't shed a tear seeing them go.

Everyone here has lied about something, let's not be hypocrites. But there is a difference between lying to deny a truth and making a promise but unable to keep it. We all have honest intentions and sometimes we cannot make due on them or other factors come into play.

If the media was targeting to smear you, you would want to stop that too because it's not necessary. The major media outlets from NY Times to USA Today is just supposed to mention the known facts in an unbiased way and they haven't done that in many years.

Why does everyone Trump seems to be appointing to his cabinet have a racist scandal in their history? Jeff Sessions, the guy that has a major hard on for overturning marijuana legalization and said he thought the KKK was great until he heard they smoke marijuana, is our new top law enforcement officer. When you guys start seeing actual ramifications of the vote you have casted you will not feel so giddy. Or maybe some of you deplorables will, I don't know. There seems to be a fair amount of hate in some hearts.

Also, if you think he's honest you are incredibly naive.

I think candidates for president should have to name their people before the election.

I'm not mad either.

Just think it's cringe worthy. Trump is not entirely honest either, and I fear his administration will walk all over him.

In two years vote Dem for Senate. That will keep the brakes on him until the next election when a clean sweep is in order.

Speaking of this whatever happened to that shill that was all over everything Hillary then disappeared after the election?

Once the checks stop coming the correcting the record is over i guess.

@papermario: im pretty mad. The news media was telling everyone that hilary was going to blow trump out of the water, and that itself is the big reason why she lost. Trump usurped the throne...nobody thought the crazies would be lineing up to vote for him or that he even had a chance in hell to become president. There was no urgency for democrat voters...I mean, tell them that trump actually had a good chance to become president and democrats would have showed up in record numbers to send this coon back to where he came from.

Gotta make sure more liberals get involved in the midterms to balance things out. Real liberals, that is.

Politico today indicates that Congressional Republicans are laying out a decidedly non-populist early agenda. Some of the examples they cite are repealing the ACA (natch), Paul Ryan/Trump style tax changes, and ending the overtime rule that requires companies to pay employees overtime pay for those making less than $47000.

And yes, a report I read earlier stated that they were looking to get rid of the CFPB and Frank Dodd, although I imagine those will take longer to unwind than the ~100 day window Politico was looking at.
