Everyone talks about how terrible Global Warming is, and how it's jacking up the planet and everything, but I must say i'm enjoying it so far. We've had some awesome weather, and i've never found glaciers that interesting anyway. Everyone's worried that the sea level is going to rise, but I'm confident that we can do without Florida, London, and all those other insignificant places. Besides, I live in Colorado so I have nothing to worry about. Everyone likes taking vacations to warm, tropical places, but I believe if we really ramp up global warming, we can make the whole world a sunny paradise. Who's with me?

The ice age was freakin' awesome. Wouldn't you love to be able to walk from North America to Asia again? And in this great nation we've always welcomed refugees from wars and natural disasters.

depends how warm you want the world to get, but personally i wouldn't want a brown earth, or a tropical earth plagued with more rampant weather.

That's the single most idiotic opinion I've ever heard in my entire life.

....Although I guess your well intitled to it.

Let's get this clear:

London, florida, insignigicant, not including several other massive parts of the planet, think about what will happen. World wars, famine, desease, death, hunger, poverty. Your perfect little life won't be perfect for long if it does flood.

Not just a few refugees, I mean huge masses that will live on the streets and there is nothing you can do about it. The crime rate will rise alot. More rape, robbery, looting. And then the ice age, just imagine it as a zombie invasion, millions of people rushing to one place. Law will basicallu die out :?

ouch, a resource war/survival war. Those are the kind of wars that are the most bloody, ruthless, and nearly impossible to avoid. when the land can't support life, there Has to be cutbacks, either on consumption or Human life. Human life being more likely to happen.

I think nothing of "Global Warming". It's going to happen whether we do something or not, so why fight it? Plus, it's always hot here in San Diego, so I'm used to the heat. 8)

" Man isn't causing global warming"

thats the whole problem, just because it's inevitable doesn't mean shouldn't seek better means of survival or adapting the environment to better suit you. It would be like a scientist saying that "someone is going to shoot you in the face" and then replying that " It isnt my fault im going to get shot in the face" then eventually you get shot in the face. the worst thing about it is that We Dont Know How Hot The Earth Is Going To Get!! Its horrible, it wont be someone getting shot in the face, it Will Be ALL Coastal cities, Our Food Sources, World Transportation leading down to widespread chaos in any place inhabited by humans. refugees in the high millions, seeking nothing more than to substain life. No evacuation plans, No national reserves, nothing. If a single hurricane can cause economical conflict for fuel sources, we're are far from even dodging the bullet, whether it's our fault or not.....maybe im going to far.....

I'm inclined to agree. I lack your certainty though.

in all seriousness, man isn't causing global warming.

Thanks to Ice core dating, we can get a reading on average temperatures and Co2 levels way back to 135,000 years. none of the warming spells can be attributed to carbon-dioxide levels

but, If man is indeed causing global warming, we need to put a lot more, and I mean tens of billions of dollars into research into a way to produce electricity and energy that isn't cost-prohibitive and doesnt' harm the environment. that way, we wont harm our environment as much, and developing nations will be able to afford them and the economies of developed nations can adapt to these sources of energy.

Even if man isn't causing global warming, man is definitely propelling it. And, as another poster said, it's not an excuse to try and slow/stop it. But no, people want to be lazy and not care and look for scapegoats.

the only way to stop global warming is to completely shut down the economy. that would have disasterous consequences for everyone

Me too. It's stinking blustery in Cleveland seven months a year. The only people that need to worry about this very modest threat are peeps with vacation-only beachfront condos that are heavily subsidized by government backed loans.
