I'm am sooo sick of these super hero comics that Hollywood feels they need to make a movie out of, There's going to be a green lantern Movie, in which Ryan Reynolds, just got casted. Maybe you guys feel they need to bring heroes to the bring screen, but its getting boring. I wanna see some orginal heroes come to the screen, like Hancock, or or.....see i think that's the only original one, i've heard of. Movies just can't capture the feeling and atmosphere of the comics and just suck and when they suck they just revamp the series...EX. The Hulk, Batman...come on Hollywood,

Nope, I'll be seeing it twice... so they won't be harmed at all by your lack of ticket purchase.

I am mixed. I have liked some of them lately but others I haven't bothered with. For Example Iron Man. I had no interest in it at all. So didn't bother seeing it.

They made hero films to satisfy the older generation that grew on them and to introduce it to younger ones. To keep the their legacy living.

I agree with you TC.

I only liked Spider 1 and 2.

Now they just keep throwing out Superheroes. What's next? Wonderwoman?

What's next is...

  • Jonah Hex
  • Thor
  • Captain America
  • Avengers
  • Green Lantern
  • Venom
  • Magneto
  • Deadpool

Not necessarily in that order, but those are all coming soon.

Push was an original superhero movie but it didnt do that well even though it was kinda interesting. For that matter Heroes was original but each season almost seems to get worse and worse. Personally i love most of the SH movies coming out. Ive been wanting to see how they can make a GL movie for a while and cant wait to see it

You sure? I can't find any info on it more recent than a 2007 blog post from some dude claiming it was in development; a TV remake has come and gone since then, and IMDB knows nothing about a Bionic Woman movie...

I figure this is as good a time as any to reiterate a wish made by mattykovax. Cloak and Dagger! Give them a film, now!

Would this be a serious, gritty crime drama, or a "hilarious romp" (with a poster that would feature red print on a white background) based on Marvel's 1980's notion of what made for "gritty crime" drama? If the later, I assume we'd get a Wayans as Cloak and like Anna Farris or somebody like that as Dagger?

I'm getting tired of American comics, and them thinking that they *have* to have a superhero in their comics.

Perhaps you should check out some of the hundreds if not thousands of non-superhero American comics? To name a few, films such as Ghost World, American Splendor, Road to Perdition, 30 Days of Night and A History of Violence are all based on non-superhero comics...

I'm not sure how much hilarity can be derived from forcibly injecting teenage runaways with an experimental brand of heroin.

Oh, uh... maybe Dagger can conjure up some banana peels made of light for the dealers to slip on? And then there can be a wacky sound effect as Cloak consumes them in the darkness?

I concur. Despite it's flaws I think that the only movie that really nailed it was Watchmen because of how it experiments with the whole "term" super-hero movie. The rest of the movies seem to have a weak plot, little character devlopment and much less focus on effort than on CGI. And if you ask me CGI is one of the worst things to ever have hit the movie industry, it's so overused right now it's depressing.

It's all just guys in suits going around beating the crap out of stuff; fun for a while but it does get a bit repetitive. Some have been alright though; the first Spiderman one was good because it actually had some character development, the Dark Knight too, while having a bit too many explosions had some terrific acting (mainly Heath Ledger) and interesting philosophical themes. A few others like Iron Man and X-men 2 were decent, but most are just too damn unsatisfying.

I would want to see a Silver Surfer movie, if it was done by a good director; that could actually be interesting. And no, that god awful Fantastic Four movie doesn't count.

Wait, you prefer Hancock over the characters who are actually well-rounded in backstory and with a history of great stories behind them? Have you seen Hancock?

Yeah, it seems a little far fetched that he would play another superhero. He also played a role as a super hero in the Blade series which was also a Marvel movie.

I like a well done superhero movie. I suppose if you don't then don't watch them. Problem solved.
