Theres an ongoing thread talking about how much Cartoon Network sucks and is only a shadow of its former self with no cartoon programming...
I agree that it isn't on par with the Dexters Lab era Cartoon Network... it is pretty good, better than its been the past few years.
1) One of the complaints was the lack of cartoons. For a brief time last year after cancelling Toonami, CN replaced the block with a live action block. Thats already been cancelled. If you want Toonami back, get a joint effort and write Cartoon Network. You'd be surprised at the results that could get.
2) The cartoons themselves are also crappy. Once again I disagree. The Regular Show and Adventure Time are both surprisingly funny (moreso the Regular Show). Regular Show is the closest you can get to a modern day Rocko's Modern Life type cartoon on children's programming. It appeals to adults as much as kids. Its honestly one of my favorite TV shows right now. On top of the comedy programming, it has action and story oriented shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars (which has gotten progressively better since Season 1) and Young Justice.
3) They still show reruns of shows like the Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Lab during the day. As well as more recent shows like Billy and Mandy. Alot of variety there. Unlike Nickelodeon, which has completely compromised its programming schedule in favor of infinite loops of reruns of iCarly and Spongebob.
I think we should focus all of our negative energies on Nickelodeon.
