I have to do a report for history due this coming Monday.

The report revolves around me watching  some movie based on American History and stating what the movie portrayed correctly and what is clearly inaccurate.

Each nine weeks I have done this project.

During one I watched the Patriot, during another I wrote about Pearl Harbor. I didnt even have to watch Pearl Harbor as Wikipedia had so many inaccuries listed on its site that it basically filled up my report with no problem.

I need another movie though. Preferably something simple, something not to complex with multiple battles and tons of dialogue.

It can be based on wars, battles, significant events, just about anything surrouding American History.

I kinda wanna mainstream movie people have heard of as they usually contain an elaborate plot with multiple errors.

Any Ideas are greatly appreciated

Yes, definitely The Patriot. That movie makes me so mad :x

If only the movie makers would have done their research and found out that the Americans fought mostly Canadian Brits and the South then they wouldn't have shown stereotypical Brits slaughtering innocent people consistently.

Tombstone, several scenes take place in buildings that didn't exist until after the gunfight had been fought, people die on the wrong days, and at one point you can supposedly see a US flag flying with 50 stars on it in the 19th century.

I want like a movie I can look up online and easily access a list of things that were incorrectly portrayed.

I didnt see much info for Gods and Generals at all really.

So, what you are really saying, is that you would like to plagiarize? I'll pass on helping you out there.

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea.  I remember watching that movie years ago with my family, I hardly remember it at all.

Don't be silly, of course some did, but Americans also killed many innocent Brit's that weren't on their side. It's just that the movie is very wrong in it's portrayal of 'the enemy'.

Its not plagiarism.  I want an easy movie with plenty accuries and inaccuries.

I plan on watching the movie, but I do not know the inaccuries off the top of my head.

Thats why you research and see what really happened and what didnt.

Then I am going to summarize the movie explaining which events are incorrect and why.

I dont exactly call that Plagiarism

300. When I slaughtered those millions (yes! millions, not hundreds of thousands!) there were not 300 of me, only one, and I showed my vast superiority.

Saving Private Ryan was very histroically accurate, except that German soldiers were NOT alowed to shave their heads and and they could've blew up the bridge at the end, I mean any normal thinking US soldiers would do that.

The patriot was essentially just Mel Gibson hearing of the Swamp Fox and then taking out all the ignoble parts. And changing the names. And tons of other details. The premise of a guy holding raids to get supplies and disrupt communication in South Carolina with guerrilla warfare is accurate anyway....

as with any war the winners get to write the history books, so you have to remember that and you can't rightly expect someone to demonize the "winner" in a film.  you usually just see one side.  but there are alot of hollywood movies that are screwed up historically..
