When I was like 6 I was visiting my cousin at his apartment. They were repaving the parking lot, so we had to stay up on the sidewalk. I didn't want to, so I got his Big Wheel and started riding it around. It kept getting harder and harder to peddle until the front wheel just stopped turning. I looked down and noticed all three wheels were melting into the still-bubbling asphalt. I started screaming and my cousin was just rolling around laughing. Eventually the seat started touching the ground and I took off running over the hot asphalt in my bare feet. To this day I can't feel the bottoms of my feet.
I was sitting on a railing on our porch when I was a kid and lost my balance. I didn't let go of the rail and split my chin open to the bone as my face hit the corner of the concrete.
I broke like 8 bones at different times learning to skate a half-pipe. I broke the metacarples in my wrist, I broke my femur, I broke my arm, and I broke my upper and lower mandibles, and a few fingers.
I hyper-extended my left knee 90-degrees hanging out the window. I was trying to sneak out of the house and the window closed on me when I had just one leg in the room and the rest of me was outside, a good 6-foot jump to the ground. I hung by that leg for a good 15 minutes, as it sloooowly hyper-extended more and more.
I fell off the bleachers in high school and broke my lower mandible again.
I slipped in ice and grabbed an electrified barbed wire fence. The electric current caused my hand to close and I couldn't let go, even as I was slowly sliding down the hill, the barbed wire running through my hand. Some nice scares from that experience.
I was swordfighting with a friend and he cut my chin open back in junior high.
I think I forgot a few things, because I have more scars than that.
