I just visited a Five Guys in L.A. last Sunday, it's not as good as many people made it out to be. In-N-Out is still my fav burger chain.
Edit: ok, Five Guys is good but it's too pricey. I never come back

I've heard great things about In-N-Out, but I haven't been to the west coast in years. Five Guys is pretty good.
I prefer In-N-Out myself although Five Guys isn't bad by any means but they're a little too pricey for what you get and their business practice of attempting to drive In-N-Out out of business by placing their stores as close as possible to every In-N-Out location I find fairly offensive.
If their plan was to put In N Out out of business, I don't think they'd be chargering 2-3 times the price of the competition.I prefer In-N-Out myself although Five Guys isn't bad by any means but they're a little too pricey for what you get and their business practice of attempting to drive In-N-Out out of business by placing their stores as close as possible to every In-N-Out location I find fairly offensive.

Fair enough but In-N-Out rides fairly high on the fact that the name has a certain cachet to it which is what I believe Five Guys is attempting to align itself with as people tend not to go to In-N-Out for any perceived sense of value.
Yes it's way over-priced. I got a bacon cheeseburger and a reg fries, no soda and it cost me nearly $11In N Out by a mile. Five Guys is good but it's just WIDLY overpriced. I got a double cheeseburger and a soda there and it was $12!

True. I think Five Guys has a long way to go though in terms of being a legendary name like In N Out is. If they're going to charge $15 for a burger, soda and fries, I wouldn't count on that ever happening. It's about 9 here, 6 for the burger, 3 for the drink. In N Out by a mile. *That and I typically don't order fries from anywhere :P
I don't recall ever eating at In-n-Out when I was stationed in SoCal many years ago, but I do eat at Five Guys. For the price, you get a ton of fries and the burgers are hot and juicy the way burgers should be served. I don't think I have ever spent more than $10 for a bacon cheeseburger, regular fries and a regular drink.

No "in-n out" here in Florida, or at least any southern city.FightingfanYup so Five Guys by default.
I just had In N Out two days ago. :PYou're just trying to make me jealous, aren't you? :P I'm sure I'll have some again in the next two and half weeks.[QUOTE="soulless4now"]
Still haven't tried Five Guys so In-N-Out by default. I just had some last week too. :3
