The Chuck Norris thing annoyed the heck out of me, and caused me to flip out on everyone at these forums I used to go to because all they did was spam Chuck Norris in every topic, and the mods didnt' care...
Since I'm dial up I've missed out on all the video fads (including Numa, which I still haven't seen), but I'll post some of the most annoying foruming habits people have:
On The ElderScrolls forums there were always these people with high post counts who would constantly seem to think they were the gods, or the coolest people on the forums, and whenever there was a favorite movie or whatever thread, they'd purposely try to find something really obscure, and post it with some smiley, like a nodding smile, like it's saying "I knwo something know one else does, so I'm cool"...
Also on TES, many of the high volume posters, would make a thread, and personally reply to EVERY single post in the thread, one at a time, even if many of the replies were the same...That annoyed me, and I tried reporting them, and making threads about how spammy it is, and I got in trouble for it.
It also annoys me when two people have a personal discussion in a thread like "OMG that album rocks" 'I know, did you like this song?' "Yeah it rocked" 'I know'...and on and on.....
Anyway....That stuff doesn't happen so much here.
