i wanna play drums, but i dont want to spend like $400 on drums only to discover that i dont really want to play drums. what should i do?

Maybe get some practice pads. I know there cheaper.

And if you need longer to decide, buy the sticks, go home, and use textbooks for drums. Don't laugh, that's what Neil Peart did before he got his first drumkit.
