When I was in university, I once did a presentation on the rapid change in technology affecting our daily lives. When it was my turn to present, I told the instructor that I needed a minute to prepare and I pretended to organize papers at the podium while waiting for people to strike up conversations and not be paying attention to me. When all eyes were off me, I picked a large binder of papers and smashed it to the ground in front of the podium. It was quite loud and papers went flying all over the floor. Everyone jumped and focused on me as I went into this deranged rant, pacing back and forth, about how I was having a really bad day (girlfriend left me, got stuck in traffic, split coffee on my tie, etc.). I was acting like I had flipped out. I eventually calmed down and segued into my presentation.
The instructor told me afterwards that he was seconds away from bolting for the door to get security before he realized it was an act. He said my technique was quite risky, but gave me top marks for it. Although, I don't think it would go over well in today's school climate. I'm sure if I did it today, the school would have gone into lockdown.
Still, it was the most fun I ever had doing a presentation.
