Useful, especially if I remember viewing something but can't seem to find it via search engine. The secret is to use two browsers - one for everyday stuff and one you keep clean.
I find it useful, I'm the only one that uses my computer. The only bad stuff is some porn sites every now and then and my facebook stalking, but I don't really care if people see that. I am only human :P. I use it occasionally to find sites. I clean it every week or two.

I have my own computer so I don't care about hiding my history. The history feature is helpful for quickly finding random sites I've visited or random articles so I tend to keep my history around for a while.
extremely useful specially in firefox 3 where you can just put a single letter in the address bar and you will get a list with the most frequently visited sites with that letter...it doesnt even needs to be the letter of the site...it can be anything...If I type "off topic internet history" in the address bar I will get a direct link to this thread...freaking useful! thats why I love firefox
