I have a blackberry curve for sprint, but honestly if I had Cingular I would never even consider buying an Iphone. PHysical keys ftw!
Those percentages in your Topic Title....are those the statistics at how much faster these phones cause their owners to get beat up for them?http://www.anandtech.com/gadgets/showdoc.aspx?i=3587

T-Mobile G1. I would take any Android phone or the Palm Pre over the iPhone without a second thought.
I love anandtech, such awesome reviews. Oh and a side note, I am getting one of those. Must be amazing for emulators.JigglyWiggly_nah. Touch screen only isn't good for emus and you need to jailbreak it then anyway.
if you want emus you should think about Nokia n97
not only does it have KB, but even a directional pad and symbian has all the emus you could ever want, including dosbox (it's not avaible even on jailbroken iphones).
I currently have RAZR2, but if I will decide to get smartphone it will be n97
Those tests are a bit dumb. When I leave my house I don't have a constant wifi signal and the phone company data networkshould be the comparison. The ATT network is slow and it cost a whopping$30.00 just for data aloneon the iphone. I know the Iphone isn't a smart phone but it still lacks so many basic features such as multitasking.http://www.anandtech.com/gadgets/showdoc.aspx?i=3587

This is a screen shot from my palm pre. The OS is probably the best I have seen coming from a Windows Mobile phone.

I love What nokia has done with the N97, but i will not buy it for one reason. Resistive Touchscreen.

I'm a little confused here. Are you saying the pre OS is the best you have seen because you were using a windows mobile phone before. Or are you saying the Pre uses WinMo?

I would never buy an Iphone. I was waiting for the Palm Pre, but I have since decided to wait for the HTC Touch Pro 2 (to come to the U.S. And it better come to Sprint).
Until then, I am still rocking my Product (RED) Razr.

Hey maybe you should mention that not a single US cell company is carrying this phone and it's GSM only. Do you suggest we spend $600.00 for an unlocked phone?[QUOTE="Mystery_Writer"]

I was considering the HTC Pro 2 but the design of Windows Mobile makes it slow and cumbersome to use. The Touch Pro 2 is also just too big and I prefer something compact. I think the PALM Pre is an excellent phone with an fantastic Operatiing System. If Windows Mobile had the same design it would be fabulous. The Pre has some cons like the lack of applications since the SDK isn't out as yet but it will get better. When I compare the pros on cons compared to Windows Mobile, the pre wins by a land slide. Windows Mobile has too many design flaws but at least it has tons of applications.iPhone is simply the best smartphone out there, absolutely no question. Many pretenders, like the Android or Pre or HTC models, but nothing comes even close to the almost never ending functionality of the iPhone. Seriously.
Any issues there were with the iPhone have been completely washed away with the OS 3.0 upgrade, and even more for those with the 3GS.
And while im checking live national rail departure times (and even seeing where the train is between stations), playing a genuine mobile gaming platform selection of games, syncing my google calendar, finding local bars and restaurants and getting directions via gps to them, oh yeah its an ipod too...etc etc etc etc etc etc etc im chuckling at all the poor sods who have to navigate goddamn nokias umpteen pages of option screens...
Possibly the best gadget ever made imo, and given 5 minutes with a few of my mates to show just a few of the apps, ive been able to convince them to part with £400 to buy one.
And thru O2, i dont pay a penny for any access thru wifi (BT Openzone and Cloud) 3g or EDGE. Brilliant bit of kit, though I wouldnt say the 3GS is a big enough step up from the 3G to warrant an upgrade from that one.
Sorry, I like my iPhone :P
£400?!?!? yeah... no. i'll save the $600 and stick with my $50 bb storm.. thank you.iPhone is simply the best smartphone out there, absolutely no question. The Iphone isn't a smartphone. A smartphone could multitask and would have basic features like cut and paste which Apple just added with this most recent update. The Iphone is a multimedia phone.[QUOTE="DeathHeart95"]LG enV2... I don't need a smartphone. I have a laptop.DeihmosI hope you know that Verizon is ripping you off with their high prices.
Well in that case, so is ATT with the Iphone plans.
The clear winner on price is Sprint. Unlimited Everything (including navigation, TV, and sat. radio stations) for $99 (less if you cut out some calling minutes).
