I think it owns, but its had a bit of criticism surrounding it also. The user interface, which is supposed to be extremely easy, looks a bit confusing and hard to navigate. Overall it would depend on the price and storage capacity before id consider it. It looks freaking amazing though. Im still waiting on a gaming system from Apple. >_>http://www.apple.com/iphone/

You guys should be happy that now this and the iPod are the only two things in their product line with it. Anyway, I don't think it's over ambitious, but I have yet to decide if it's the next revolutionary product. It's just business I guess, they're taking the iPod phone already made by Motorola to the next level.

All cellphone cameras are garbage. The sensor may indeed be whatever number of megapixels, but the quality you're going to get will never equal the cheapest of digital cameras rated at the same resolution.

You can have a huge pixel count but if you have a crappy sensor (you bet the sensor is a piece of crap on a phone) it won't make the picture any better. Sure it'll be a little nicer, but it won't be anywhere near as good as the quality as the real camera's with 10MP i.e. - SLRs.
Oh boy, iPhone. How original. $500 is ridiculous. That's way too much for a phone, even one that is part-ipod. And it runs OS X? You know what that means. It's going to suck. I bet everyone will buy it because it's made by Apple and starts with "i". :(

If the price were $399 and $499 for a 30 GB or 80 GB, than mabye I would consider it, but $500 bucks for the same storage as a Nano, definetly not :roll:
I might hold off until iPhone Gen 2, 1. Because I am locked in a Verizon Contract and 2. Because 8 GB wouldn't be enough music space. I really don't want to bother with having to take my music off and on all the time. But its a sweet phone and if it was more like 300 I would pick one up.

As for the hardware, it seems like a pretty cool phone if money isn't significant. It'd be even cooler if/when they open it up to third-party app development.
However, many of the iphone advertisements (and there are a lot) come across as extremely oversimplifying and kinda condescending. "Wow, I can finally get email on my phone! And look at maps! And listen to music!" ... none of these features are cutting edge, and none were pioneered with the phone. The touch-screen interface was new (as far as I know), so it's fine to go all-out marketing that, but I feel like they take credit for too much.
