iphone or itouch?

I'm going to be picking up one or the other, and would like to get the iphone instead so I don't need to be in a hotspot to get on the net, but I hear you have to pay $100 bucks a month through AT&T, which is not something I'll do. Is this still the case, or can I go throughmy owncarrier? Also, how big do they come and what's the best to get?

Get the touch...keep your current phone if you have one.

If you wanna pay boucu bucks for service and music, do the Iphone. Otherwise do the touch and you current cell phone.

Thanks all. So the only real advantage the iphone has over the touch is to replace my cell and get online from anywhere and not just wifi hotspots right? Is that it?

Just go for the iphone. Yeah the bill is just under $100 a month but it depends on your plan. Could be less, could be more.

Isn't the only difference between an 'iPhone' and an 'iTouch' the fact that the iPhone has a phone? The iTouch has wifi and everything, so just get that one.

I would recommend getting the Ipod touch. Its pretty much the same thing as the as the iphone exept its not a phone, but you dont have to pay $100 dollars a month. I have one and its great especially if you jailbreak it.
