for the iPod classic i was wondering if there was a way to completely take off the album art (on iTunes you can turn it off but an annoying music note shows up.) please if you know, tell me.
I'm assuming you have the newest version of iTunes. To delete the album art off of iTunes go to "Music" and hit Ctrl+A to select everything. Right-click and select get info. You'll see a small square that says Artwork that should be blank. Leave it blank and tick the box so that the green check mark shows up. Clicking okay will clear out all album art. To make sure that it isn't downloaded from iTunes automatically go to Edit>Preferences>General> and untick "Automatically download missing Album Artwork. I believe this is irreversible so if you delete it off of iTunes you will need to redownload ALL of it.
To delete it off of your iPod, go to the music tab when it shows up in iTunes and untick "display album art on this iPod". Problem solved.
If you want to look at your music in iTunes without Coverflow at the top just look to the top-right and you'll see "Search". Next to that is three buttons. Each represents a different way to see your files. Click the one to the left to view it without album art.
By the way, to get rid of those Music Notes, you could always add the album art :P. This is easily done (assuming your songs, albums, and artists are labeled correctly) by clicking the song, or all or them, and right-clicking and selecting "Download Album Artwork". For big libraries album art will take up a lot of space.
