Okay I have this ipod video I bought from my friend a year ago, it worked fine at first, I haven't really used it a lot if at all Last time I turned it on was like 6 or 7 months back.

Anyways i try to plug it into my computer and it doesn't come on instead i hear this noise?

I don't think my brother did anything to it since the screen isn't scratched or whatever.

Thoughts?

What noise? Charge it for a bit and then try it again.

But if you charge it, and still get nothing, its probably a hardware problem and unless you're either really good at opening those things not messing something up, or you want to pay a lot to get it fixed, you're out of luck.

The only thing I recommened doing is doing the to reboot the ipod when its on. I think you hold down the menu button, then the select button. If this doesn't work either try to format it, or call apple up and send it in.

Noise? How can it emit noise when it doesn't have a speaker?
