It's nice to see that the US isn't the only nation on the planet who thinks that Iran having nukes is a bad thing. France is stepping up to the plate.

Damn right. Iran having nukes is a very bad thing. Although, to be fair, any country having nukes is a bad thing so until america and britain etc get rid of theirs it quite hard to take the moral high ground on this subject. And as far as i know its not certain if they do have nukes any wayerc500

I understand why there's concern for Iran having nukes, but why would we get rid of ours?
Nukes are only really dangerous when in the hands of fanatics, now that everyone has them.
The only people who would launch one are people who don't care if they die along side everyone else.

Well, they were one of the founding members of the treaty of Brussels and NATO...

I think they were initially in NATO but subsequently went their own way. It was an issue with the other members. De Gaulle was never really a huge supporter of NATO or the rest of Europe.

I strongly doubt Israel would ever get nuked. That's the holy land for jews, muslims, and christians. Setting off a nuke in the middle of that, is not wise.

With that in mind, theres no real point to have them so they should be disposed of to get them off the defence budgets of our countries so that the money spent on them can be used for better projects

No country would, but individuals may. If certain countries are not responsible with their nukes or that knowledge and materials, then certain unstable orgranizations can get their hands on one. The proliferation of nukes is not a good thing. They're just too dangerous. No one should have them.

Hold on.... why is america and some western countries always so cautious of the middle east??? true, Iran is not the most peaceful and democratic country around.. but c'mon.. what happned in Iraq.. where are the alleged WMD's???? The world is not even sure if Iran is making nuclear weapons in the first place. Iran claims that its for their power needs... god only knows

What right does America and other nations have over other countries?? The UN can take neccessay actions if Iran is really making nukes. But we all know what happned in Iraq. America attacked Iraq even without the approval of the UN. What right do they have over other nations i ask again. One country may have the right to attack in self defense. But Iraq was no way a threat to USA. It was all for the oil. Iran will have the same story soon.

Secondly, what about North Korea??? Everyone knows that they have nuclear weapons.. They say it them selves. why not go to war with them, instead of a middle eastern country for a change??

Since Fatah start beefin' with Hamas Fatah is more friendly with us but hey we have the Arrow System against their Shiab missiles i trust this and the US attack on their Nuclear facilities
