Does anyone really have 16,000 songs or 80,000 photos that they need to access at any given moment?

also some people are strange, my uncle told me once he knew a guy who had one terabyte of music
and from what he told me he wasn't the type of guy who just downlodaded any stupid song he heard on the radio
Seems reasonable to me. There are surely people out there with 64GB of music.
And it also means there's plenty of space for videos and apps.
And then there's lossless compression, which takes up a buttload of space.
Even 64 gigs isn't enough for me. -Sun_Tzu-
Same here. Obviously the usefulness depends on the person buying it. A casual radio listener isn't going to need 64 gigs, while someone really into lots of music may need more than that.

Collection file size doesn't really mean much. I'm at ~150GB with only 4k tracks.

Its been dropped, thrown, lost and washed and its still around 6 years since i bought it :)

and apps
apps are hardly over 10mb.... anyway, for a person like me, who has the complete OSTs of many games (and games with GREAT soundtracks...like final fantasy series) and several great music...yes I could use one of those...because my 2gb sansa is running very short in space...I will probably be receiving my FF 1-9 OST the next week...and should I say thats a lot of space... But I personally dont use or like ipod touch/iphone as a music player...I would stick to a regular ipod...I have 13000 songs.Does anyone really have 16,000 songs or 80,000 photos that they need to access at any given moment?

My old 2 Gigs USB-pen style mp3 player no longer has the cover (for the USB port). It was literally flushed down the toilet  The player fell into the toiled just as I has flushed and the cover was slightly loose so it went away. The whole player was submerged for a moment but I was able to save it by pulling the earphone wire. I'm never taking a piss while listening to mp3 players ever again! This was a few years back, and the bastard STILL works perfectly :D
Now I have a phone with a memory card of just 1 Gb :( I may buy a new card though.

Its been dropped, thrown, lost and washed and its still around 6 years since i bought it :) ahh I remember the first MP3 player I got...I got it when I was in 7th grade...a 512 mb extremely small QBOS mp3 player...then 1 year later by dad bought my sansa e250 of 2gb...I've drop it, its being stolen and recovered, water has fallen on it, the wheel doesnt work properly anymore, the earphones jack is a bit defectuos already, the screen is broken, the internal clock doesnt work anymore...but I still use it. even though I wll have to change it soon...because as i've said...im running very short on space...and for a person like me who must listen to music everyday in the morning and in the afternoon (the school bus takes like 2 hours to get from my house to school and viceversa) its getting pretty boring to always listen the same 400 songs...and the worst part is that out of those 400 songs I just listen at like 70...not like I wont listen the others, but there are just 70 favorites so far...
I have 13000 songs.[QUOTE="The_Weird_Guy"]

My brother knows a guy who has more than 6tb of music. any song/artist/album/genre you can imagine, he has it.
the radio stations or music tv channels actually call him when they need music
we are not in the stone age anymore :P that would be 9 TBIf I had every album I wanted, I would need a like 9000 GB of space.

Well I have a 16GB iPhone and I think that is enough for me, I do not see how someone would be able to listen/have all of those songs on their iPod,RenegadePatriotI have almost 50gb of music and have listened to almost everything except for a few new albums. I listen to music while i'm at my job and when i travel to and from school. Its very doable if you listen to music on a daily basis.
On the new one absolutely... You can record 720p video in the h.264 format... HD video is pretty large... Not to mention the videos, apps, and music... I don't even listen to music that much and I have over 10gb of music... So think about someone who listens to music often...
i used to have a 160gb ipod classic, i can fill it up multiple times, i like having all of my media on my computer at all times, so as it stands my media library clocks in at just over 1tb, i have 3tbs of hard drive space though, i like to have mass amounts of variety when im on the go
