My Frontier doesn't get sticky gas pedals and is made in the US. Plus I know it won't break down on me.Its a good first truck, but it has a small box and a small cab. I would rather go with a F150 But it depends on what your using it for. But good for you for buying American, No sticky gas pedals for you:)

The main reason I it is its compactness. And it would be nice to own an American car. Also funny you brought up the sticky gas pedal thing, when my other choice is a Toyota Matrix.

Why not a Taco if you want a Toyota?[QUOTE="Mercenary848"]

Why not a Taco if you want a Toyota?A friend of mine has the older compact version(I am looking for something small like his), but I do not think they make newer small ones like the ranger.

Yes they do. The Tacoma and the Ranger are both midsize trucks.[QUOTE="Mercenary848"]

I suggest the Frontier though. It has 4 wheel disk and I get awesome mileage out of it.http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Compact-Pickup-Trucks/
Hmm the Nissan seems to be coming in second, and it has the highest performance compared to competitors. The tacomba is in the lead, while the ranger is 7th.
yeah the Ranger sucks. That's why I was suggesting the Taco or Frontier. Both are made in the US but you get Japanese reliabillity.http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Compact-Pickup-Trucks/
