I have just bought games like Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2 and other single player games and have finished them. I really never find myself playing the games that much again. I am thinking about just renting all my games now except for mutiplayer games like Halo, MW2, and such. ANybody else just mainly renting games now? There is just so much other stuff I want to buy (technology wise) and it cost more then games.

The last time I bought a game was like 6 months ago. (Tales of Vesperia) I usually rent games before I consider

buying them. And sometimes I even end up finishing the game by the time I have to return it. Can't complain about that.

I do rent games to try them out before deciding to buy . Next game I will buy is likely Heavy Rain. This thread is off topic here , so it'll likely be locked.

I usually just rent, but occasionally if I find a game that I love I'll buy it. Usually I'll rent games until there old enough so that I can buy'em dirt cheap. Example: The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (awesome-est game ever) I got for $12.00. $12.00!!! Usually when I start buying games I can't stop until I buy all my wanted games or just plain run out of extra money. (I have a problem I know lol.)

I actually have an enormous backlog of games that need to be played. If I can't afford new games, I just play the ones I currently own.

Yeah, I've definitely been renting games a lot lately. I just don't have much money to throw around, and I don't want to chance it. I do buy games that I know I'll like, though...like, for example, I bought Left 4 Dead 2 even though I didn't have a lot of money lying around at the time.

I stick to renting, unless the game has good multiplayer. No sense in spending $60 on something I'll just play through in a few days.

No I never rent games anymore, I work 30+ hours a week and that is entirely disposable income, so I have a lot of money lying around begging to be spent.

Unless I'm really going to like the game and play it for a long time, I prefer to rent. It's much cheaper to rent it and beat it than spending $60 and then have it sit there for an undetermined about of time.

I don't want to sound preachy or anything, but I hope you're putting a good portion of that into a savings account.

renting games is for poor people.. We have review sites and videos to judge games with so DONT use that as an excuse. Buying is the ultimate rush... better than sex..

Review sites are all about advertising and hype. You have no idea how many games with crazy high reviews I've rented only to say "whew, glad I didn't buy this piece of crap!"

I usually borrow games from friends and let them borrow mine in return. I only buy the games I really want and intend to keep in my collection for awhile. Last new game I purchased was MW2 on release day, and that was random splurge. I still want to pick up Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, and Splinter Cell Conviction in the near future. But for now I'll wait. There's also plenty of games from last year and the previous (and even a year before then) that I would like to get my hands on. I've been thinking of going the Gamefly route, as it might just be a bit cheaper in the long run.

I rented games a lot more last gen, but now that I have some more money and gaming seems to get better I just buy them to add to my collection. I hardly rent games now.
