I represent the rare breed of person when it comes to religious belief. I believe that God exists, but not in any of the theology that has come with most major monotheistic religions. Why?
1. The Universe must be the creation of supernatural elements, (i.e., God), for celestial dust and stars could not have formed on their own without the creation of the laws of physics. A creator generated these laws of physics, and hence, the Universe came about as a result of it. Laws of physics cannot, in my mind, spontaneously take hold without some sort of outside intervention.
2. I do not prescribe to theology because theology was designed by men. No one has ever heard the word of God, so I deem revelations to be near-impossible.
