Or is it the other way around? I want to watch one of them at the movie theater, but they'll be pulled out in like 2 days so I can only watch one (dont have that much to pay for both)

I will obviously watch the other one when it's out on DVD, but I'd like to hear which one should be the "priority"

Is it better than the hurt locker? Because I just realized it's from the same guys, and while I didn't think it was a bad movie, I really didn't felt it deserved all that praise.

zdt should still be in theaters for a bit longer. Though I guess that depends on where you live. Argo is a significantly older movie in terms of it being in theaters. Though if you had to chose one, would go for Argo

I haven't seen Zero Dark Thirty, but I have no clue how it could be better than Argo. Argo was incredible.

Oh yeah, silly me. And no, movies here either come out really delayed or they come out in time and leave fast.

Argo was tremendous.  Probably my favorite film from 2012.  Zero Dark Thirty was really good, in my top 3 or 4, but for me Argo was the perfect mixture of a great film, and compelling story, as well as being profusely entertaining.  You really can't go wrong with either one though.

Argo is a great film but it is cinematic fluff compared to Zero Dark Thirty.

Potentially...

Potentially not...

But the answer is yes. And no. Simultaneously....

Argo is better, but not as important to see on the big screen as Zero Dark Thirty. Hope that helps.

Same here, but unfortunately I didn't even feel the suspense at the end. Maybe it's just because I knew exactly how it would turn out in the end. Also I didn't think the characters were developed well enough to have an emotional attachment to them. I was pretty disappointed with it.

I went with ZDT and was really dissapointed...Biggelow's movies are definitely not for me. I'm seriously sure that it just got all that critical praise because it was the movie that depicted the asssassination of the world's most hated man.

Should've mentioned it wasn't better than The Hurt Locker, especially if you follow the news. Reviews said ending was intense ... Least most people weren't aware of the story behind Argo.

Saw both. Would say Zero Dark Thirty is better on the big screen. Argo would be the better rental.

I found both to be overrated but enjoyable with ZDT being just watchable. Go with Argo.

Including the writers of the film considering how much of it was made up.

Argo is better than The Town. At least with Argo Affleck wasn't trying his hardest to create a Scorsese/Mann flick.

I enjoyed Argo more even though it relied strongly on convention. I do need to see Affleck's other stuff though.

Zero Dark Thirty is a vastly superior film. For the most part, Argo is remarkably average.

Quite divided opinions on this.

ZDT was pretty damn average. The film felt like it was going no where for the first 3 quarters or so.

My issue was the second act which was essentially just just anticipation for the climax which was predictably underwhelming and the characters were unlikable. All forms of character development was during the first act just so we'd have some form of sympathy once one of the character's were gone an hour in. I just didn't care about anything or what was going on and the final confrontation. Argo was conventional and turned alittle cliche during the end but it was an enjoyable hollywood film. I found it interesting how most of the emphasis was based on forming a fake film as oppose to trying to escape.

I didn't care for the charecters at all in ZDT. Also while I am fine with having liberty and creative freedom, I felt some details in ZDT were just plain stupid. "No one drives an SUV in Pakistan"

The fvck? Everybody fvcking does.

Also, the embassy in the film had the worst security ever.

Well I haven't seen either movie, so I'll have to vote for Tommy Wiseau's masterpiece
