Ah 5th grade... middle school was great. Anyways does coca cola really like, I don't know, burn into your liver or something?

I remember some experiment were people put a small tooth into a glass of coca-cola and the drink rotted the tooth away. Into nothingness.

Depends on how much you drink, but I'd be willing to bet it's possible. Coke is very acidic; I believe it has a Ph level of 2 or 3.

No :P

Your gastric acid has a pH of 1 or 2, Coca-Cola has 3.4 if Theo is right.

Oh... and what makes you think Coca-Cola directly enters into your liver ? :P

Supposedly it's so sugary because without all the sugar we wouldn't be able to drink it...

Pepsi >>> Coke. Of course, I haven't been drinking much pop in years, but I remember Pepsi always tasting better.

yes it is,there are articles on that,

i have read that you can use coca cola on the germs and it will clear them all,it is phosphoric acid or something like that with a kinda high PH,

i have even read that if you leave some meat in coca cola it will dissolve it after a while.

False. It will tenderize the hell out of it though. It also won't kill germs. Alcohol and bleach do. Coke does not.

there is no way thats possible, if coke was Ph 2 , it would really hurt to drink it. coke wouldnt melt your liver, but it is acidic and can damage your teeth if drink too much of it.

It's pretty acidic. I doubt it's that acidic though. It's not like taking shots of muriatic acid that's for sure :P.

That's funny about the Lemon having an acidic pH...i always see it on lists of "alkalizing" fruits.

I am sure there is a reasonable explanation for this.

You can't just jump from coke rotting a tooth to burning a liver. They're entirely different :?

Teeth are protected only be enamel, so the soda causes them to erode.Stomach acids are much more acidic, but you shouldn't be chugging down soda all the time anyways. The sugar content is more worrisome than the acidity when it comes to the liver actually.

Just so you know orange juice is way more acidic than Coca Cola. And on top of that Mythbusters did a thing on coke and if it was possible for it to dissolve a t-bone stake. Verdict? No, not even close and it was left there for a week.
