The newest season has become an incredible chore to watch -- Michael has become more and more unlikable to the point at which any time he's on the screen, I'm counting the minutes until I don't have to see him again. The characters who are actually likable and have potential to be genuinely interesting -- Oscar and Darryl, for instance -- barely get any screen time at all.
By contrast, Troy and Abed are an absolute joy to watch.
Hmmm I actually like both shows, so what does that make me? Hehe. My only real gripe with The Office this year is the abundance of singing, but more to the point, Community is a great show and is not really similar to The Office, so you should at least give it a try.
The humor in Community is more over the top and they occasionally do parodies (action movies with the paintball episode, Animal House, Goodfellas, etc) that somehow works
