BTW im hoping to go to the university of toronto.

Really it depends on the university what your grades have to be. The one here in NB will take basically anyone.

It depends, broad answer but you asked a very broad question. Just apply and see what happens.

State Universities are very easy (this is kansas cirriculum). get a 21 on your ACT (very easy to do) rank in the top 1/3 of your class. or take required classes and get at least a 2.0 GPA.

See very easy.

Yeah, because if the requirements for university is that, then there we wouldnt see universities having so many people.

I hear the University of Toronto usually accept students at around the 75-80% range so you should be fine.

It also depends on which course you're taking at the uni.

UofT - it really depends on the program. I would say an 80% avg is miminum for most programs there.

First, learn how to spell university right.

Second, UofT depends on which campus you plan to attend. The downtown, St. George campus requires 84-88% average to attend.

EDIT: by 84-88% average, i mean that it is the average which you are basically garenteed a spot. Any average 80-81+ won't gaurentee you a spot, but you will most likely be accepted.

It also depends on the faculty you're going into at the school. At the U of Calgary you can get into most faculties with 72%, but the engineering department and Haskayne Business school require 80%

This is wrong. It depends on the program and the location. You can't get into UofT life sciences with a 70 avg.

so how am i wrong? my point was that you can get into u of t with a 70 avg, it would be something like general arts or social studies. i didn't say you could get into health sciences with a 70 avg. but you can get enrolled with a 70avg at u of t.

all it means is for the first year or 2 you will go undeclared and if you have generated a 4.0 gpa or whatever you can major in a specific program

I'm currently attending the University of North Florida. It was not hard getting in for me. I was in the top 10% of my senior class, my weighted gpa was 3.7ish, I got the minimum ACT score, etc. But it entirely depends on the college you are applying to. Good grades are the not the only thing colleges look at. My lack of community service/clubs/extracurricular activies prevented me from having a shot at getting into University of Florida.

Depends on which university you go to. The one I am shooting for I should have to be in the top 10% of my class, have atleast a 3.7 GPA, and ACT scores over 26. Go University of Michigan!

Depends on the program. Though make sure you have at least 75 to be safe for the social sciences programs.

I got in there for political science and and still needed an 80% average or higher.

It all depends. I go to Syracuse University. I had a 3.65 GPA in high school, grades around 91-ish...

Some schools accept really low academic achievers (like 2.0), while some won't settle for anything less than 3.9. But then again, grades aren't solely what schools look for... not by a long shot.

Getting into Uni is pretty easy, where I live at least.

I ninja'd through with my crappy external results and managed to get into Engineering.

Nope. I got into all 3 colleges I applied to: Auburn University(where I'm going next year), University of Alabama, and University of South Alabama. South Alabama even gave me a scholarship. I got a 28 on the ACT and have a 2.7 GPA.
