No. There are inherent characteristics of being ugly that are always present. An ugly person will always make babies cry, break mirrors, have no one to rollerskate with, and have bad breath.FragStainsBah, totally inaccurate, babies love me.
Not really the same thing. I can't imagine anyone actually hating someone for being ugly, though. Excluding them from their social circle, yes, but hatred isn't a common reaction to ugliness.
I have my own question, I am glad this topic is here cause I thought i had to make an entire new topic.
Is it alright to be angry at someone when they begin to brag about their problems and accomplishments, but when I do the same thing to them they dont want to talk to me?
[QUOTE="darksword1123"]No that relation doesn't make any sense.Devour2SurviveWell why not? Hating a black person for being black is racism. Hating someone for being ugly has nothing to do with race just physical appearance.

Hating a black person for being black is racism. Hating someone for being ugly has nothing to do with race just physical appearance.darksword1123
Depends on your preferences....but race =/= being ugly....they aren't the same thing.darksword1123Technically, but hating someone because of a characteristic they were born with is still baseless bigotry.

They are both wrong yes.....but the TC asked if they were the same thing and I personally don't think they are.

I think he wanted to know if they were morally comparable, not if their technical definition was the same, which it obviously isn't.

Even the TC just asked is hating someone for being ugly the same thing as being black. They are both discrimination. *sigh*
