Is having a large number of siblings good.

I have an older sister but she moved out when I was around 9 or 10 so I have been raised like an only child. I love my older sister and I have never had problems sharing with her. but I can't picture living with three or more siblings.

It depends, although, unless something is deeply wrong with you and/or family it should be quite the learning experience. When all of us lived in one house, I had the most fun with my brothers (2) and sister. As an adult (unless there's some sort of falling out) it's nice to have people that, hands down, no matter what, care about you and want you to succeed. Also, enjoying holidays with a big family (you don't necessarily need siblings for that) are always a lot of fun. Once you've grown up you're not going to reflect and complain about all the things you had to share, let alone remember.

i think the question of how many kids you want running around depends on the parents. My parents only have two and they're already up to their necks raising us.

I wouldn't mind having an older sister along with my older brother though. Besides appearance, my friends say my brother has made me one of the guys. Even my brother said I was like a guy. My mom says I'm even more of a guy than my brother. :| lol. Yeeaah, it would be cool to have a sister to do all that girl stuff with. I'd rather not do that with my mom.

I don't really know, but I assume it's pretty difficult if you're the youngest....getting beat up by all the older ones :P. I only have one brother...we used to fight a lot when we were kids...had there been maybe one or two more of us...that would have always ended in huge brawls.

I have a bigger brother that lives on his own now so I don't have to share the house with other siblings, but I would like it because it would give me someone to hang out with.gun-runner

Does he live far away or something? My older bro moved out a couple years ago and we hang out every week.

I have 4 brothers and 1 sister.

I think it is. My cousin is an only child and it has been really lonely for her since her mom and dad work long hours almost everyday. Plus siblings keep you company and share good childhood memories with you..

Well, it's good and than again it's bad. It's good because if your brother or sister is near your age, than you guys can play video games, watch movies,and stuff like that. If you were the only child, I would think it would get pretty boring. But the bad is that you get less stuff and you have to share some of your stuff.

it really depends on the siblings, but mostly it's a strain on resources, and that always leads to suffering, and fighting.
