It's more annoying than hard. Sometimes you'll feel like you're wasting time doing tedious "busy work" that has no real point to it.

Yes! Exactly.
Na, It's not hard. Most of the people that told you it was hard were probably lazy in class. :P If you pay attention and do your work, then it should be pretty easy. 2ndWonder
i'am very lazy :(

So was I the first two years. And I still got decent marks. However you'll need to at least step it up in grade 12 if you're aiming for a decent post-secondary education.Who said it was hard? It's not (unless you're taking AP and/or honors classes). I hardly put any effort into anything I did and passed with a C+/B- average every year.yabbicoke
i really hope that happens to me too the thing i'am mostly afraid of is all the papers and stuff i'll have to write i suck at writing papers
I thought senior year was awesome.MattUD1
I didn't like mine so much. I felt like it was supposed to be really good but I felt like I did too much unnecessary college preparation stuff and I didn't get half of what my ****ates did. I guess it just depends.
It's so much fun! You'll love it! ^_^ Except maybe your senior year though...Genetic_Code
:? Senior year was a blast...
Not at all, just pay attention and you'll be fine. In my last 3 years of high-school, I haven't studied ONCE, and I still got 80s (That's As, for those who use alphabetical grades).Gamer4Iife
Maybe in some strange, far-away country of anarchists and pedophiles... but in the U.S. anything in the 80s is a B.

Everywhere I've ever gone, a score in the 80s was considered a B. :?
Edit: What Dark__Link said.

Is my first year as well, and I am doing a lot better than I did in Middle School :?
Just ignore distractions.

your talking to the master at being lazy, and i'll be honest just before exams( i mean exams that actually mean something) is hardish but apart from that its a piece of pish, you aint got nothing to worry about dude really i find metal gear solid 2 on easy difficulty harder than high school!
since its a gaming forum i thought i would put a difficulty on it;)
No, its not. Anymore its just a waste of time because the parents just look at it as just another form of babysitting their kid, therefore they dont care, and the teachers see this, so they dont care either. There are really not a whole lot of great teachers anymore that take pride in teaching kids and dont do everything "by the book" so to speak.plague32390
My parents want me to go to high school because they want me to prepare myself for university and ultimately have a good career/life/general understanding of the world, not to be "babysat". And some of my teachers haven't been that great, but a lot of them are pretty good, they aren't just there because they needed a job and they care about their students.
Whatever high school you go/went to sounds...fun.

Why? Some sort of apprenticeship program? Because my friend did that where he worked for half the day and went to school for 2 classes a day. Luncbox1Na, In grade 10 I went to a different school, which allowed me to receive more credits than what I would receive at high school. In high school the most credits you could get in 1 year is 7, at this other school I went to, you could get 11 credits in one year. So when I reached grade 12, I had 23 credits and you need 24 to graduate.

Your parents are part of the exception, but most parents do. Trust me, my mother is a teacher.
