I hear from most people I know that they can like anyone and will give their attention to someone that can make them laugh. I also know that some people think that even if you are ugly but have great humor, you can still be liked. Laughter is one of the easiest and best things to do with other people.

So what do you guys think?

It is a good trait, I'm often complemented on my sense of humour.

I think the ability to appreciate things that are funny is far more important than being able to make people laugh.

I think it is up there. But, personally, I pride myself in being honest, almost brutally starightforward with people. Most people don't like my unabashed opinions when they ask for them.

It certainly makes a lot of things much easier if a person has a healthy sense of humor.

I think so. I can't stand being around people who can't take any of my jokes. It's also really cute when a guy can make me laugh, and I prefer hanging out with friends who I'm laughing with all the time.

I'd say it's well near the top if not the #1 trait to have. I mean I've been around people who don't have a sense of humor about things and are serious all the time and I can't stand being around such people so to me, yeah, humor is a HUGE part of the people I want to be around.

While that is an extremely good quality, I believe kindess and patience are more important.

I love a great sense of humor, and unlike the physical, it will never fade, droop, or fall out. LOL

I think the two compliment each other very well. :)

I like laughter, and having a laugh - as im sure pretty much everyone does...so i guess it is a good trait to have, if not the best.

I think the best trait is intelligence. Then Humor, then common sense.

(Which apparently isn't all that common anymore....)

If it is, then I am pretty well off. I manage to make laugh most of the people I come into contact with.

And that's not an exaggeration either.

It's a good trait to have, but I think trustworthiness is better.

[QUOTE="Jandurin"]I think the ability to appreciate things that are funny is far more important than being able to make people laugh.GabuEx

I think it'd be awfully hard to have one but not the other.

I've known plenty of people that could appreciate funny things, but didn't have either the self-confidence or wit to make others laugh as well.
