It's not really odd. For things like sneakers and slippers, you can just follow your shoe size. However, dress shoes and cowboy boots have different cuts.

I wouldn't order any footware online. You don't know if they fit until you put them on.

Just make sure to meet the seller in person to make sure they're a real cowboy. Telltale signs include dusty jeans, chewing tobacco and aninabilityto use computer. He should also be riding a horse and yelling "Yah!" constantly (Don't worry, this is cowboy speak for 'Please go faster Mr. Horse'). If that checks out, chew on the boots a little to make sure they're made of real cow. Or boy.

Yes, very bad idea. Most boots wear totally different, especially cowboy boots. Also, it is important to just get the general feel of them, I don't know how you like them, but some come really stiff and never really bread in, while others break in super fast and become really soft. They are not like a pair of tennies that you can just say you are a size 10.5 and really be right in the ballpark with most brands. Go to a store and buy them.

It's a bad idea to buy cowboy boots. jk. If you feel uncomfortable doing so or feel that you might not get the right size, then perhaps you should attempt to go to a store. If you can't, then maybe you should look around for sites that have good return policies in case the boots you order end up not fitting properly.

I would say go to a store, who knows how they would fit.

OT, want to make a business partnership in Fable3?

That's actually what I was going to say...

If you know your size or measurements, I don't see the harm in buying them online (sometimes there's just a better selection online). As it has already been mentioned, make sure the store has a reasonable exchange/return policy.

Since cowboy boots have a different shape to them than any other normal shoes, I would try to get them from an offline store. I don't know how cowboy boots work according to size, maybe the shoe clerks can tell you if there is something else you need to look for according to size because then you could probably get some online in the future.
