Is it considered as a disgrace when u dunno ur native language? Say u came from a different origin other from teh US of A but u grew up in teh states and didn't really give much attention to ur hometown language to see you slowly remove it from ur system.

Well considering what my ancestors fought for I must say I am slightly ashamed that I suck at my language...| If you hear me speak it... They think I am someone raised overseas...
Its not a bad thing, though if I were you I would take some interest in your non-American culture.
In fact, when a lot of Italians moved here, they did not encourage their children to speak Italian since they wanted them to become accepted in the US.
