Is it bad for an MP3 player to be cold?

I know its not good to put them on your dash if the sun will get to them, but what about leaving them like in your glove compartment overnight when it gets frosty out.

Dont batteries keep longer when they are cold?

Dunno, they can't take extreme cold too I guess. But in this case it will be fine I think.

cold = good for electronics. bad for batteries. Bad for monitors (certain ones at least, some have liquids)

I live in Ontario Canada and I leave my DS and Ipod in my car for a few hours about once a week. It gets really cold and they are fine. Once my DS did someything wierd with the screen but when it got warmed up it was fine.
