If so, what do you do to ensure you get it?

If not, what would you suspect or do you know is causing you to lose some sleep?

I recently gave up coffee for tea, and it has made all the difference in the world. That, and my work schedule has gone back to normal so I have a normalized sleeping schedule.

I find it easy to get enough sleep, 8 hours I would say is the number for me. I guess when I was a boy I kept hearing 8 hours was the adequate number and it stuck with me; if I get less than that then I complain to myself on my mind: "see? I told to get enough sleep. See what happens when you don't listen to me?".

When I get on a rhythm my body just does it automatically. I start to get sleepy at the right hour and I tend to wake up at the right hour by myself (I always use the alarm regardless, I would never leave that to chance).

Very hard. For the past 5 days I have been waking up after 3 hours of sleep and then waking up every 1-2 hours after that. After 8 hours of the maximum sleep I usually get, I continue to feel tired and frustrated.

Think I'm going go back on cannabis to sleep at night. I've always had issues with falling asleep and staying asleep.

If I'm working hard, I fall asleep ASAP when I take my clothes off and get into bed. 8 is really what a person should get but I sometimes go for 6 hours depending on how tired I am. Also I'm an early bird cause I like getting up early in the morning to get things done so I could sleep like around 10:00pm. Buuut if I'm gaming, screw 10:00pm, I'll play till 12:00am if I have to depending on the game that is.

I have the same issue occasionally. It doesn't last long, for me, though. When I gave up pot years ago, my sleep was terrible for about a month or two after.

I usually get 7-8 hours, but I also usually wake up once in the middle of the night or an hour before I have to get up. I haven't used in alarm clock in years and wake up at 7-7:30 am without fail.

At about 9, I shut off internet usage, excluding Netflix. This means Xbox Live and just general internet usage. Otherwise, I'd have the same problem. :P

Some nights if I get in early and get in a little gaming, It's kinda hard for me to fall asleep! Other then that, as soon as my head hits the pillow, I'm gone

I need about 8-9 hours of sleep every night. For me to be able to fall asleep as fast as possible I should be worn out from some kind of physical activity.

Depends on what you mean by "adequate". I have a friend who sleeps only 4 hours a day and he's quite alright.

These days sleep from about 1:30 to 7:15 am, then nap for a good hour and a half :P

If you'd asked me in summer then my answer would've been sleep from 4:00 to 12:30

I have chronic insomnia so I find it extremely difficult to get good sleep on a consistent basis. Sucks for my health but on the upside I get to play tons of games when I am up all night.

Ideal sleep for me is about 8.5 hours. But during the week I usually only get 5-7.

Yes it is now, and ironically because of drinking Matcha Green Tea, which contains caffeine. As long as I don't drink it too close to bedtime.

Easy for me. Get up at 5 am everyday. Work and gym 5 days a week. Family and home (eg yard work) 7 days a week. Add classes which vary in time devoted, depending on difficulty.

Then, there's gaming on whatever free time I can spare from above. Add all those and it's a full day. As soon as I lie down, I'm gone and out cold. Weekends and holidays help me recharge though.

Pretty hard for me. If I'm busy, I usually go with less-than-adequate sleep because it's hard for me to go to sleep when I need to, but easy for me to sleep when shouldn't be sleeping.

That is true, actually. Some people need 4, others need 10. It all actually depends on the person.

I get more than enough sleep, but I do have a serious disorder, and complications from that sometimes prevents me from sleeping at all. That rarely happens though.
