So i was watching scrubs, (love that show) the one where Carla and Elliot were fighting because they had agreed to an arrengment and then they bailed. They botheventuallygot mad at each other and fought. Then at the end they made up, so that got me thinking is it ever to late to repair a friendship. (Ex. lost contact with a friend)

10:30 is the time I consider it being too late. Try again in the morning.

*insert obligatory joke here* Onto the topic at hand. I think it depends on what the subject of the disagreement is. Some things just can't be easily overcome. In the example you listed, with Carla and Elliot repeatedly making arrangements to do something together with the intention of canceling on one another, while it makes for interesting TV in the big scheme of things that isn't particularly hard to overcome. It just means that they aren't enjoying each others' company as much as they used to. For whatever reason, they've drifted apart. The solution is for both sides to acknowledge the problem and work towards making their time together pleasurable again. Now...last week some guy posted about how he found out his friend was a Nazi and he wasn't sure he could still be friends with him anymore. That's a good example of a much more difficult issue to overcome: fundamental differences of opinion that reach down to the core.

No, but the difficulty varies depending on what kind of friendship you used to have. I have a friend that I've known for many years and even though we haven't talked in months we can call each other and pretend like we saw each other the day before.

Depends.

It would be too late if you did something terrible to the person you're having a friendship with.

Sometimes, in extreme situations, the friendship can be completely dead. It is usually caused by actions perpetrated by one or more of the parties involved that are just completely unforgivable. This is something I have experienced more than once.

:) I think it's actually because of the personality traits that drove me and helped me to build a gauss cannon, though, that those now (sadly) former friends left me-a need to one-up everyone else, a complete disregard for practicality, and a relative lack of caring about others (allowed me to sink a lot of time into its construction). I'd rather have friends than a gauss cannon, but oh well. Tomorrow's a new day.

Respect to the weapon smith.

Well it's never too late as long as you're both still alive (Unless you believe in ghosts then it's never too late, ever)

I'm sure if you killed your friends family, they would never want to be your friend again.

Well, I don't know... It depends on the situation. You can always learn to forgive and/or forget, but sometimes people aren't willing. I had a best friend from age 3 to age 15. We grew up together and did absolutely everything together. Well, in 9th grade she started to go out with a girl and started ditching me all the time and making me feel like the third wheel. She'd done this the previous year with a boy. One day I blew up at her because I was sick and tired of it. We stopped talking for about four months and it was awkward and sad. I moved on to other friends in the meantime and she was still with that girl. We tried to be friends after those four months of silence. It was nice, but it didn't work. We're 17 going on 18 now and we've finally made up. We've started to hang out again too. We're not best friends again, but we're good friends. :)

Generally no. However, if you do something jerk-ish, like steal a dude's girlfriend, or something along those lines, then you may never be able to repair that friendship.

Depends on how much money you have
